How has the treatment of Latinx migrant workers changed overtime? How has the Latinx population fought back against oppressive circumstances? How do immigration issues play into this? All of these are important questions that tie into the state of modern politics and society. All of them explain one or more issue that gets tossed around during election campaigns. However, there is a general lack of knowledge as to why these are issues. To that end, this project is designed to educate and explain the reasoning behind why modern politics concerning Latinx immigrants are the way that they are. In order to accomplish this, a variety of primary sources, including interviews, photos, and journal articles, were analyzed. Hopefully, the knowledge presented here will be useful in engaging with America’s current political system.
